The Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers will kick off their final preseason game two weeks before the NFL's first regular season game. Fans hoping to get fantasy football clarity on Steelers and Panthers players will be disappointed.
Both teams have already announced they'll be resting their starters in their preseason finale Thursday night.
Instead, the two teams will likely be using this final exhibition game to determine which players on the roster bubble will make the team or end up on the practice squad. The Thursday evening game is the last chance for those players to show off before NFL teams need to cut their rosters down to 53 players on Aug. 26.
