We’ve already told you about all the exciting new titles coming to Netflix this month, but with that good news also comes bad: Some beloved projects are leaving the service throughout the month. You never know when something might pop up on streaming again (or which of the many services it’ll go to next), so the next few weeks could be your last opportunity for a while to check out some of these fantastic movies and television series.
We’ve got your comprehensive guide to everything that’s dropping off Netflix’s collection this month, including a few highlights that we definitely recommend seeing before they’re gone.
Must-Watch Movies and Shows Leaving Netflix in September 2025Barbarian (Leaving 9/1/25)
In this standout horror film, a young woman discovers the rental home she booked is already occupied by a stranger. Impulsively, she spends the night but quickly discovers there’s a lot more going on than just an unexpected house guest. If you’re squeamish, you might want to avoid this flick — but if you’re warming up for Halloween, give it a go.
Band of Brothers (Leaving 9/15/25)
This series tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army. Based on interviews with survivors, as well as soldiers’ journals and letters, this Emmy-winning mini-series chronicles the experiences of young men who knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear.
The Good Place: Seasons 1-4 (Leaving 9/26/25)
In this cult classic series, Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) finds herself in the afterlife. She’s both relieved and surprised that she’s made it into the Good Place — but it doesn’t take long for Eleanor to realize she’s there by mistake. But when some new friends show her that she can change, she begins to turn her (after)life around. (The show also stars the eternally delightful Ted Danson; you can read our interview with him here.)
